The SU-27 doesn't have thrust vectoring, but it does have supermaneuverability.

Really? I've never seen one fly in person. Every plane I've seen that was able to do this employed some kind of thrust vector.....I guess those forward canards are getting a good workout with this, then.

Thrust vectoring, you say?

The plane in that GIF definitely had thrust vectoring. SU-37 it was the experimental base for upgrading most current Sukoi fighters with thrust vectoring.

True, though the SU-27 does not have thrust vectoring and can perform Pugachev's Cobra.

I thought so too, it seemed like the forward velocity was too slow to pull that off without it...but I'm not a pilot or engineer, just an enthusiast, so I was only guessing.

They had one of those at Miramar Airshow a couple of years ago. it was unreal the things that plane could do and still remain airborne.
